Byron's a relatively new guide. But far and away one that will be a top top guide amongst the new guard. He is hardworking, a good researcher of his material, and takes absolute pride in his tour delivery. It doesn't hurt that he is easy on the ears, eyes and smooth. Tribe is lucky he's one of us
1. Chiong (meaning hustle) ah! I can’t sit still much and am always going out to explore more of Singapore.
3. Welcoming. Singaporeans are really open to diverse cultures and beliefs. I’m really proud that I have friends from a wide range of cultures as well as religions.
Kaya toast or prata but only with sugar. I'm a yuan-yang kind of guy. Yuan yang is a coffee and tea mix. Not for the faint hearted.
Marina Barrage. It’s a beautiful spot in the day, at night, at sunrise and sunset.
Tian Wai Tian Fish Head Steamboat! This local restaurant serves a great dish of fishhead soup that is just mind-blowingly tasty.
Shiok! I use this really often because there’s no other word that expresses joy as much as this.
Eating! It’s way more rewarding than complaining, and I think healthier too!
New Zealand! Sorry I know it’s not in Asia but it’s not too far away too. It’s a huge contrast with Singapore because there is a lot of personal space, and every view looks like a postcard. I went there for my honeymoon and fell in love.
I used to work as a controller in the Air Force talking to many aircrafts at once, so I would say I’m a great listener!
Learn a few phrases of Singlish. “This one can eat?” “Toilet where ah?”
